Out of school activities
A pack of leaflets and information on events, trips, festivals and crafts that are happening throughout the city this summer has been compiled by Bristol Children & families parnership and is available to view and download at the bottom of this page.
Want to get out and about this summer? Bristol Parent Carers are pleased to tell you that we have funding for the next 12 months for the Let's Go Bristol! Short Breaks Transport Scheme, and we are now taking bookings from June 2017 onwards!
THIS SCHEME is for parent carers living in the city of Bristol who have children (0-25 years) with disabilities, special educational needs and life-limiting conditions. It is designed to offer FREE transport for those families who struggle to get out and about to fun activities. It is being run by Bristol Parent Carers and Bristol Community Transport.
- Use accessible cars with or without a driver
- Use accessible minibuses with a driver
- Receive Minibus driver training (MIDAS) so in future you, a family member, or your organisation can drive a minibus
CONDITIONS: Vehicles are available during weekdays, evenings and weekends, all year round. Each child has a financial limit that they can use: either for up to 6 local trips, 3 trips within neighbouring counties, or 1 trip further afield (depending on the distances involved).
