E-Safety

We want to encourage our pupils and our community to make full use of technology. However there are risks attached to this and we endeavour to support pupils to understand and protect themselves against these risks. We also want to support parents/carers to be e-safety conscious too and hope that the information and links here give you a growing understanding of how to help and support your young person to keep safe whilst online.

The below videos made by CEOP, show how important it is not to share personal information and photos online and would be useful to sit down and share with your child:

All staff at Kingsweston have received CSE (Child Sexual Exploitation) training, this video highlights the signs of CSE and what services are available for support:

The websites below offer good advice on esafety discussions to have with your child.

They are followed by #DITTO, a free online safety (e-safety) magazine for schools, organizations and parents to keep us up to date with risks, issues, advice and guidance related to keeping children safe online, with a view to enjoying and learning about technology. A new edition is released approx. every 6 weeks and will be posted to this website when available. Alternatively you can sign up to receive your own free magazines at http://www.esafety-adviser.com/latest-newsletter/
